Talk about awkward timing: Just two days after Rep. Anthony Weiner admitted to engaging in salacious Internet relationships with at least six women over the last three years, sources for the NY Times are reporting that his wife, 35-year-old Huma Abedin, is in the early stages of pregnancy.

According to the report, the couple disclosed the news to close friends and family, though when they told them and how far along she is in her pregnancy remains to be seen.

Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, has kept quiet since her husband's press conference on Monday, though the Times says she returned the work this week and is currently in Northern Africa with Clinton.

Weiner, meanwhile, remains adamant that his scandal will not destroy his marriage, telling reporters on Monday that they had no intention of separating.
