Joey + Rory are looking forward to the 2016 Grammys on Monday (Feb. 15) — they're nominated in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category — but it is daughter Indiana's second birthday celebration that they're most excited for.

Rory Feek posted a new blog entry on This Life I Live on Friday, in which he discusses his family's "master plan" to celebrate the Grammys and their daughter's second birthday. Titled "Terrible Twos," Rory explains that this is the perfect description of the party they have planed for their baby Indy.

"It’s of course going to be Gruffalo-themed … he has ‘terrible teeth in his terrible jaws!’" he writes. "My mother-in-law June is going to make Indy a paleo ‘Gruffalo crumble’ cupcake and we’ll have ‘owl ice cream’ … and we will do our best to make it the very special day that it is."

In an interview with the Tennessean shortly after the couple learned of their Grammy nod, Rory shared that Joey's goal through her ongoing battle of Stage 4 cancer is to survive to see the Grammys and Indiana’s second birthday on Feb. 17. On his own blog, Rory continues to share the plans to decorate the house for Indy's birthday.

"Our plan is to put streamers up around Joey’s bed and move Indiana’s high-chair in beside her, so Joey can be part of it," he explains. "So she can watch our little one eat her cupcake and rip the wrapping paper off her gifts. But Joey is very fragile right now, and so with all of these plans we have, we will need to adjust for what my wife needs."

Joey + Rory's final album, Hymns & Stories, was released Friday. Rory's older daughters will attend the Grammy Awards in the duo's honor. The event airs on CBS at 8PM ET on Monday.
