KNUE + Brookside Dental ‘Hometown Hero’ of the Week: Sgt. Nathan Shotwell of Gilmer

It is an honor and a privilege to announce our KNUE + Brookside Dental Hometown Hero of the Week — U.S. Army Sgt. Nathan Shotwell of Gilmer, who was nominated by Barbara Shotwell.Sgt Shotwell has served his country for eight years and recently re-enlisted for six more years.

Here’s what his wife, Barbara, had to say about Sgt. Shotwell:

He is not just a hero in uniform, but he is a hero to me and my kids as well as many others. He cares for his family and actively seeks ways to volunteer for extra duty assignments. He is a soldier with a heart the size of Texas.
