Kip Moore came on the country scene and came up with a No. 1 hit right off the bat! Few country artists do it quite like Kip Moore, so I thought I would find out more about Moore. I learned that after college, this Georgia boy moved to a little " hut" in Hawaii -  really! While living in Hawaii, Kip  took up surfing and backpacking.

But here is where the story gets good - Kip moved to Nashville on New Year's Day in 2004, with a guitar and a suitcase. Just eight years later, his first No. 1 hit was called "Somethin' ‘Bout a Truck." This single has sold over 1 million copies and his first album "Up All Night" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard country chart.

That's pretty impressive.

Here's what Kip told Reuters about his success:

"Every time I step on that stage, I'm loving it. Now that I've had some success, I'm even more fearful of losing it."

Now Kip's second release, "Beer Money,"  is climbing the charts quickly and may be his second No. 1 in a row. Check out Kip's songs and see why country fans love him!
