Country singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband's ex-wife and reality TV star Brandi Glanville spent the weekend in a war of words on Twitter. If you remember, Rimes and Eddie Cibrian had a very public affair when he was married to Glanville.

Rimes and Cibrian eventually divorced their spouses and married each other in December of 2010. Their marriage made Rimes a stepmother since Cibrian and Glanville had two boys together.

It seems there has been some 'uneasiness' between Rimes and Glanville since they married, and now it seems that 'uneasiness' has finally come to a head. Over the weekend, Rimes tweeted about Glanville's children, Mason, 8, and Jake, 5, and Glanville was not too pleased.

Rimes tweeted:

"Flying out with my boys in a few hrs. Love that it's a family tour weekend. It's always more fun when they are with me."

On Saturday, Glanville, tweeted to her more than 157,000 Twitter followers:

"Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children "her boys" Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons… 4 now"

This obviously got Glaneville's fans upset because one follower tweeted:

"@BrandiGlanville deep breaths! Until she's a mother herself she won't grasp that concept. Hang in there!" Glanville replied: "@FromFL she needs a baby stat!"

But that wasn't all. Glanville also tweeted this on Saturday:

"a friend just sent me a video of MY 5 yr old riding his bike on a busy st without his training wheels & without a "blank"  Helmet"

Rimes, who has more than 341,000 Twitter followers, replied to Glanville:

" @ brandiglanville really, he's not in a st. It's in our neighborhood, and you know it. It's on the dirt."

So you get the picture. It got ugly. This couldn't be good for Rimes who recently was in a rehab facility for anxiety and stress. It really couldn't be good for any of the family, especially the children.

On one different occasion in an earlier interview with Radar Online, Glanville expressed she may even "physically hurt" Rime:

"I remember walking up to soccer practice and there she was with my baby in her lap," Glanville said. "My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her. I really thought I was going to physically hurt her. … She was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent. She's got my kid on her lap, and she's with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury."

I'm sure that this situation is hard on both sides. Take our poll below and tell us your thoughts.
