A group of Lindale seniors used their "Senior Skip Day" to help clean up from Friday's tornado.

According to KLTV, the students helped clear trees from Shari Adams' property.

“It did a lot of damage here. You couldn’t see my house from the road from all the toppled trees,” Adams said. “I was so surprised when they all showed up. I’ve been offering to do food, anything, and they won’t let me do anything.”

Other students went across the road to help with clean up at Oak Haven Arabian Horse Farm.

One of the students, Andrew Austin, was asked what he would have done today if he wasn't helping out. He said, "I would probably just be asleep honestly. I mean, we didn’t have to show up for school today, I wouldn’t have gotten up until noon or 1:30."

Give these kids the props they deserve.
