Luke Bryan celebrated a special evening with family and friends at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Wednesday (May 20). The ACM/CMA Entertainer of the Year was smiling ear to ear as he took his first look at the Luke Bryan: Dirt Road Diary exhibit.

"It feels like I’m fixin’ to go host a big awards show," admits the star. "I’m nervous and it’s exciting. A big honor. Amazingly humbled to have such a good-looking exhibit. I’m ready to take it all in and check it out."

A few highlights of the display include Bryan's very first guitar, second grade school backpack and denim jacket, handwritten lyrics to his chart-topping single "I See You," tour posters, and various music awards (like his ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year trophies).

"It’s a flashcard of so many dreams and so many answered prayers and so many things that have come true. You’re looking at a big ole’ blessed life," explains the "Kick the Dust Up" singer. When asked if there was one thing he wanted to keep at his house and not lend the museum, Bryan replied hilariously, "I don’t reckon they got any underwear in here, so I think we’re good.”

Bryan kept the jokes coming when he spoke at the reception, thanking everybody at the Hall of Fame — specifically the curators. "I'm not even sure I knew what that word was ... am I saying that right? Sounds like something you do to bacon," he said, which got a laugh.

He hopes fans can experience the climb with him and see all these different phases of his life. "There are fans that were there in the beginning or even if they're fans that just came onboard. The fact that it’ll be here through November. So many people come in and out of these doors. I think it tells a little bit of a story and maybe they can learn a few more things about me that they didn’t necessarily know," the singer says.

Luke Bryan's Dirt Road Diary Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit runs through Nov. 8.
