Movie trailers for blockbuster movies have become an event in themselves lately. Almost bigger then the movie premiere itself.

For older blockbusters, trailers were not that big of a deal. They relied on posters and newspaper ads but not much else.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens (seen it 3 times already), just the trailers alone invoked an experience like seeing the entire movie for the first time.
