More anglers, more money, a bigger time. That's what to expect for the third annual Big Bass Bash at Lake Palestine Resort.

We're back and geared up for another great year for the Big Bass Bash, and we hope you'll join us!

The 2015 Big Bass Bash is Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, at Lake Palestine Resort in Frankston, Texas. We're back and bigger than ever with higher hourly payouts, and we still have that top prize of $10,000 for the biggest bass caught of the weekend.

This year's winner will follow 2014 champion Bobby Curnutt (8.46 pounds), of Kilgore, and 2013 winner Dave Triplett (8.62 pounds), of Chandler.

We are looking for anglers to take part in the third edition of the Big Bass Bash, and we’re going to hand out more than $40,000 in prize money throughout the weekend. We've added $500 to our hourly payouts for each hour all weekend in 2015.

The cost to compete is $125 to fish for one day and $175 to fish both. We’ll hand out prize money to hourly weigh-in winners, exact weight fish and the big money to the anglers who catch the top five biggest fish of the weekend.

Here are the overall payouts:

  • First place: $10,000
  • Second place: $2,000
  • Third place: $1,500
  • Fourth place: $1,250
  • Fifth place: $1,000

In addition, $1,700 is paid out each hour, up from $1,200 each hour the last two years, of the tournament for hourly weigh-ins. Here are the payouts for the top five fish weighed in on each hour:

  • First place: $700
  • Second place: $400
  • Third place: $300
  • Fourth place: $200
  • Fifth place: $100
