Not even a day has passed since the Texas run-off elections, and Texas officials gather to announce a joint investigation into possible voter fraud in Gregg County.

According to KLTV, Texas St

ate Rep. Jay Dean, Gregg County Judge Bill Stoudt and Texas Sen. Bryan Hughes gathered at the steps of the Gregg County courthouse for a press conference discussing a complaint alleging irregularities with mail-in ballot returns.

They say the irregularities happened over several election cycles, all originating from Commissioner Precinct 4.

Ken Paxton released a statement on the investigation, stating:

The Office of the Attorney General has received a complaint alleging organized vote harvesting in Gregg County. While our general policy is to not comment on any investigation its early stages, we review election fraud complaints thoroughly, and where warranted, will investigate election offenses to the full extent of our resources. Election fraud undermines completely the integrity of the voting process and cannot be tolerated to any degree.
