East Texas city streets are being decked out with holiday decorations just in time for the big parade and to welcome Santa to town!

Christmas parades will soon be rolling down main street as kids watch with anticipation to see the arrival of Santa Claus! Civic groups, politicians, bands, cheerleaders, fire trucks, police cars and so many more groups will all come together to entertain thousands at their city's Christmas parade. The following is a list of Christmas parades from around East Texas (listed alphabetically after Tyler and Longview):

  • Tyler

    Thursday, November 29th @ 6 p.m.

    The parade route has changed slightly from previous years. The parade will begin on N. Broadway and head south towards downtown making a right onto Ferguson St., then a left on Bois d'Arc Ave., left on Erwin St., left on Spring Ave., left on Line St. and right onto N. Broadway.

    Following the parade will be the lighting of the city Christmas tree on the square in downtown.

  • Longview

    Thursday, December 6th @ 6:30 p.m.

    The parade will happen along Whaley and Methvin Streets in downtown Longview. In the event of rain, the Longview Christmas parade will happen on Tuesday, December 11th.

  • Arp

    Monday, December 3rd @ 6 p.m.

    The Arp city Christmas parade will begin at the Arp High School baseball parking lot, head up Longview St. to City Hall and will end at the Arp City Park.

    Following the parade will be the lighting of the city Christmas tree and Santa will be around for pics too!

  • Athens

    Saturday, December 8th @ 6:30 p.m.
  • Bullard

    Monday, December 3rd @ 6 p.m.

    The parade will begin at Panther Crossing

  • Canton

    Saturday, December 15th @ 6:30 p.m.

    It will be a spectacle in Canton with the annual lighted Christmas parade.

  • Chandler

    Saturday, December 1st @ 5 p.m.

    The annual Christmas In The Park will be held at Winchester Park. There will be Christmas music, covered wagon hayride, vendors, children's activities, pine cone decorating, hot cocoa and concessions and Santa!

  • Gilmer

    Saturday, December 1st @ 8 a.m.

    The first ever Gilmer Yulefest will feature events throughout the day including the Christmas parade, Movie on the Square, a petting zoo, classic car and ATV show and breakfast with Santa.

  • Gladewater

    Tuesday, December 4th @ 6 p.m.

    The annual parade will be held in historic downtown Gladewater and children can mail thier letters to Santa in the special Santa mailbox that will be set up on the square at Pacific and Main in Gladewater.

  • Henderson

    Thursday, November 29th @ 6 p.m.

    The City of Henderson presents the 2018 Christmas Parade along with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree. The parade will go through downtown with the tree lighting happening at Heritage Square in downtown.

  • Jacksonville

    Monday, December 17th @ 6 p.m.

    The parade will begin on Commerce St. at Patton St., head towards the Tomato Bowl adn conclude on Bonner St.

  • Kilgore

    Tuesday, November 27th @ 6:30 p.m.

    Celebrate Christmas on the World's Richest Acre with a parade through downtown!

  • Liberty City

    Sunday, Dec. 2 @2 p.m.

    Come join us December 2nd @ 2:30 pm in Liberty City!! It’s FUN, FREE and WE CHUNK CANDY!!! If you want to sign up to be in the parade print registration form at www.sabinefiredept.com and email or snail mail it in..

    Parade starts at the intersection of FM 1252 and Old Hwy 135 and will travel south ending at Interstate 20.

  • Lindale

    Saturday, December 1st @ 6 p.m.

    The parade will begin at EJ Moss Intermediate School and head north on US 69 and will conclude at First Baptist Church parking lot.

  • Mineola

    Saturday, December 1st @ 5:30 p.m.

    The Mineola city Christmas parade will travel through downtown and then children can meet up with Santa at the end of the parade.

  • Palestine

    Saturday, December 1st @ 7 p.m.

    Frost Fest, Palestine's coolest fest brings snow to East Texas along with gourmet food vendors, family activities and more.

  • Quitman

    Saturday, December 8th @ 2 p.m.

    The Quitman city Christmas parade will begin at Quitman High School and conclude at Jim Hogg Park.

  • Rusk

    Tuesday, December 4th @ 6 p.m.
  • Troup

    Thursday, December 13th @ 6 p.m.

    The Troup city Christmas parade will begin at Carolina and Duval Streets and conclude at the Cameron J. Jarvis Library parking lot where Santa will be distributing candy canes and prizes.

  • Whitehouse

    Saturday, December 1st @ 10 a.m.

    Parade begins at Austin Bank and travels to the Whitehouse City park. Following the parade, Santa will kick off the festivities at Christmas In The Park.

  • Winnsboro

    Saturday, December 8th @ 6 p.m.

    The Christmas parade will travel straight through downtown.
