5-Year-Old Calls 911 to Report Grinch Stealing Christmas
Five-year-old TyLon Pittman is a hero in my book because he foiled the master plan of the Grinch who tried to steal Christmas….. sorta!
NBC DFW reports that TyLon was watching videos online in his Mississippi home when he came across "The Grinch". You know, the popular green character from the Dr. Seuss book "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"
TyLon was not having it one bit. He went into action and called 9-1-1 and spoke to the dispatcher from the Byram Police Department. TyLon's mom couldn't believe he made the call until there was a knock at the door.
Listen to the 9-1-1 call it's pretty funny
Police Officer Lauren Develle arrived on the scene and reassured TyLon that the Grinch wasn’t going to steal Christmas and everybody’s presents were going to be safe.
The Grinch is not going to come steal your Christmas. I won't let that happen…
The Byram Police Department were such good sports of the 9-1-1 call from TyLon the Clarion-Ledger reported that the Grinch was caught and taken to jail. For his bravery, TyLon was made an honorary Junior Officer and was there on the scene wearing his new Byram Police Department baseball cap to make the arrest.
While in a jail cell, the Grinch told TyLon that his bravery was unmatched and he has saved the day. TyLon actually wants to be a Police Officer when he gets older and the Byram Police Chief, Luke Thompson said when you turn 21 come fill out a job application.
Thank you so much TyLon for your bravery. Because of your quick thinking means everybody will be able to have a Merry Christmas.
