KNUE presents Tracy Lawrence in concert at The Oil Palace in Tyler, and we are so excited about bringing Tracy to East Texas. Tracy Lawrence has made a name for himself in country music, for sure.

Former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker has certainly made an impression on country music ever since he made the transition to country a few years back. Now Darius' latest single, "Wagon Wheel," is burning up the country charts.

Join KNUE this Saturday for a live broadcast from House Nursery in Tyler from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's springtime in East Texas, and that means getting our yards in shape. House Nursery has the largest selection of azaleas west of the Mississippi, and since azaleas are native to East Texas, you must add them to your yard!

East Texas, because of your continued support and generosity, you guys helped KNUE raise $128,070 for the kids of St. Jude Children's Hospital! Give yourself a pat on the back. This amount of money will be such a blessing to the kids who are battling for their lives each and every day.

Since 1996, KNUE has been involved with St. Jude 'Country Cares,' a radiothon that involves country radio stations across the United States. The "Country Cares' radiothon was started with Randy Owen from the group Alabama in the late '80's and is the most successful radio fundraiser in America.

At our upcoming Big Bass Bash, we hope to see lots of record breaking big bass. Hopefully, all of you will be there catching those big ole fish. But, what are the biggest bass caught before this Big Bass Bash tournament? How can you ensure you can catch one of these record breaking swimmers?

Billboard just released their annual list of the Top 40 Money Makers in the music business. Madonna and the Boss Bruce Springsteen were at the top of the list, each bringing in more than $30 million. But country artists made up almost half of the top 20.

KNUE gives a huge shout-out to awesome East Texan Tina Christian for agreeing to put together a benefit for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Tina took off with the idea and ran with it. This event has been a full-time job for Tina, a mother of two, but she told me she loves it.

Just a couple of hours ago, KNUE'S "Gold Rush" host, John Moore, was named the Smith Country Public Information Officer. This is a new position for the Smith Country Sherif'sf Department. John will be joining the department later this month.

Congratulations to Jim Reinhard! He's the winner of our trip to San Antonio to see the grand finale of the "Cowboy Rides Away" farewell tour with George Strait.
