Eli Young Band have been on the verge of so-called national "success" since the release of 2008's 'Jet Black And Jealous' and it's first single 2007's 'When It Rains' -their first Top 40 peaked at a cool 34 on the billboard chart.  They've enjoyed respectable but limited billboard success with 'Always The Love Songs' #11 in 2008, 'Radio Waves' #35 in 2009 and 'Guinevere' #45 last year.

But 2011 saw the guys from Denton, TX release a song that may soon prove to be their big national break-out hit, (if you don't consider certified gold with 700,000+ iTunes downloads to date and a Top 20 song all ready a breakout.) 'Crazy Girl'  --released on Valentines Day has been on the way to, at, or near the top of both Texas Music charts (TMC and TRRR) since it's release, finally falling from the Top 10 just last week.  But nationally, it's still climbing currently sitting anxiously at #15 on Mediabase.

I spoke with lead singer, Mike Eli recently on Radio Texas Live and the first thing we discussed was the growing national fan base EYB is experiencing.

For me, living in Texas, working in radio, dealing with the crazed EYB fans on a daily basis and playing their music on the reg I guess I just assumed they've all ready experienced bigger success nationally, but despite their huge regional popularity, nationally radio has been a little slower to spin EYB, Mike and I talked about that.

Finally the guys have a new album out -TODAY titled 'Life At Best' we talked about it and the 'Crazy Girl EP' which was released earlier this summer.

In other cool EYB news: They are CMT's Artist Of The Month for August -click here for more about that.  And Dierks Bentley has just added the Texas boys to his Country & Cold Cans Tour beginning Oct. 6 in Lacrosse, WI.  they will open for Bentley on the 22 city run that wraps in Denver, CO on Nov. 19.

Finally, you can order 'Life At Best' through their website EliYoungBand.com, on iTunes or at Walmart and Best Buy and be sure to like 'em on Facebook.
