WKYT is reporting that the search for a Kentucky couple is underway, the charge? Human trafficking. Heather Kaminskey's crime came to light nearly six months after trading her newborn son for a 1999 Dodge pickup, only when she re-sold the truck for $800 and meth. Police have taken the search to Florida.

Lt. Rodney Van Zant, of the Laurel County Sheriffs Office says,

Our detectives have contacted the officials in Florida. We are working with them, we attempted to find her there, which is one of the possible locations based on the fact that she has family there and she actually made some comments to some other people, that were at the residence yesterday, saying that's where she was. Of course she's given us a couple different location, speaking with two or three different people on where she may be.

Jeremy and Jamie Brown, the couple who took the baby are being charged with human trafficking as well. This despite the fact that their friends and neighbors say they were only trying to do what was in the child's best interest.

Now, I don't know the Browns, and even though they went about it entirely wrong. I don't think it's too far of a stretch to believe that story.

What it comes down to is, if a mother and father are willing to trade their baby for a truck, they probably shouldn't be raising the child. The child is undoubtedly better off with the Browns. Check out the entire story here.
