Speculation and rumors have been circulating for weeks, as of this morning Dez Bryant's 8-year tenure in Dallas is over. The popular receiver, and one of the most successful in franchise history, had just become too expensive for the Cowboys, who signed Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson this off season.

There are eight wide receivers who are set to earn more than $12 million in 2018, of them Bryant is the only one to average less than 1,000 receiving yards per season (678). His time in Dallas concludes with 531 career receptions for 7,459 total yards, and a franchise-record 73 receiving touchdowns.

Dez took to Twitter to express his love for Cowboy nation and the city of Dallas.

The 29-year-old was due $12.5 million with a $16.5 million cap hit in 2018.
