If you hadn't noticed, East Texas native Kacey Musgraves is poised to take over country music. From joining Lady Antebellum on their 2012 European tour, to joining Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes Nation" tour right now -- this is happening. Today, Musgraves released the video for her new single "Blowin' Smoke."

Musgraves album "Same Trailer Different Park" has all ready seen it's first single "Merry Go Round" become a Top 10 hit. And the video for it was nominated for an ACM. Earlier this week Miranda Lambert took the Musgraves penned "Mama's Broken Heart" to No. 1 on Mediabase.

She was also nominated for New Female Vocalist and Female Vocalist at this year's ACMs.

So what makes her so different? Easy. Her honest, straight forward story telling.

She doesn't hold back, nothing is off limits. Folks like that, except of course when it hits a lil too close to home. And she does land in people's backyards with her songs, a lot. But when it's all said and done, her style will turn more people on to her than off.

And I don't think I'm alone, we'd all be happy with her taking country music in a different direction. It definitely needs a new one.
