My 8.5 Mins with Robert Earl Keen — Part 1/3 [AUDIO]
Robert Earl Keen is in my mind, the best story teller of our generation. His older music stands the test of time — better than most and his new music is just as relevant as it ever was. His songs have been covered by so many singers from The Highwaymen to Montgomery Gentry and it was an honor to spend — ehh, roughly 8.5 minutes talking with him on the phone this week.
The three part interview can be heard in it’s entirety this Saturday on Radio Texas Live, but until then I’ll give y’all a sneak peak, one segment at a time.
Having been covered by so many artists one thing I’ve always wanted to know is who does REK’s favorite cover of one of his own songs, he answers that and we discuss his best line from his song, ever.
