Root Beer Float
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups root beer
1-1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
Instructions
For a 16 oz. glass, use one scoop of ice cream. Pour in enough root beer to cover. Add another scoop of ice cream to the top, if desired, and serve with a spoon and a straw. Makes 1 serving.
Homemade Lemonade
Ingredients
6 large lemons
1 cup sugar
2 qt. cold water
Instructions
Slice the lemons in half and squeeze each of them into a large measuring cup. This should make close to 1 1/2 cups of juice. Remove any seeds.
Use a large pitcher and combine the juice and the sugar. Stir in 2 quarts of cold water. Serve over ice. (For a nice touch, place mint leaves in the ice cube trays before freezing.) Serves 8 to 10.
Berry Splash
Ingredients
1 (0.13-oz.) package unsweetened cherry drink mix
6 cups white cranberry juice
1/4 cup sugar
add if you like, fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
1. Stir together first 3 ingredients and 2 cups water in a large pitcher until sugar is dissolved. Cover and chill.
So easy to make and so refreshing!
