4 Dead, 16 Injured in Fort Hood Shooting

Four people, including the gunman, were killed and 16 others injured in a shooting at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas Wednesday evening.  Fort Hood officials said the gunman was a soldier who had been receiving mental health treatment and that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Army Officer Accused of Killing 13 and Injuring 32 in Texas May be Forced to Shave Beard

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist charged in the Fort Hood shootings, could forcibly be made to shave his beard. In November of 2009, Major Hasan allegedly opened fire at Fort Hood's Soldier Readiness Center and now stands accused of killing 13 soldiers and injuring 32 more in what is the largest shooting on an U.S. Army instillation.
