Christmas time brings out the best in East Texans, because we support various charities by giving money, volunteering, donating gifts and food. In spite of all that we do to help out, sadly to say, there's always someone else in need.

Longview ISD will be spending nearly $3 million dollars on renovations to the athletic complex at Longview High School. The board of trustees unanimously approved the measure that would see improvements to Lobo Stadium and to both the baseball and softball fields.

The horrific shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary has created a lot of questions about the safety of our children at school. Now the entire nation is focused on how this could have happened, why it happened and how can we stop it from ever happening again.
