Teen Losing Battle With Cancer Writes Song to Help Say Goodbye [VIDEO]

Looking at Zach Sobiech, you would see him as a typical 17-year-old boy. But Zach isn’t like other kids. Zach has an untreatable form of cancer that is going to cut his life short. But instead of weeping and being sad, he is a happy kid living life to the fullest. And he even wrote a song about it.
Zach was diagnosed with steosarcoma in 2009. A rare, cancerous bone tumor, osteosarcoma affects just 800 people each year in the U.S. Since learning of his cancer, Zach has gone through months of chemo, a major hip replacement, various minor surgeries and four lung surgeries.
Zach, who is known for his love of music and guitar, didn’t let the news hold him back. He took all of his emotions and thoughts and put them into a song. His song “Clouds” is his way of saying goodbye to his friends and family. In the catchy tune, he sings “And we’ll go up, up, up, but I’ll fly a little higher. We’ll go up in the clouds, because the view is a littler nicer. Up here, my dear. It won’t be long now; it won’t be long now.”
