Longview Man Builds Exact Replica Oval Office in His Home
No one can tell Longview native Ron Wade to get a hobby. He already has one and he’s very good at it. Wade collects presidential memorabilia, to the extreme. The East Texan has even built an exact replica Oval Office in his Longview home. It took two-and-a-half years to design, eight months and 250 workers to build and a quarter-million dollars. And now his hobby/obsession will be showcased on TLC television.
His collection of 10,000 presidential buttons and furniture used by U.S. presidents—worth more than $300,000—will be featured on Wednesday’s episode of “My Crazy Obsession,” which airs at 10:30 p.m. ET on TLC.
