Rita Ballou is Back with ‘All the Dirt in Red Dirt’ [AUDIO]

Facebook

Rita Ballou from Rawhide and Velvet joins Radio Texas, LIVE! each week to keep us up to date on all the happenings in the Texas Music scene. From Adam Hood’s nuptials to JB and the Moonshine Band’s new video and Cross Canadian Ragweed on television, here’s All the Dirt in Red Dirt, last week.

ADAM HOOD TIED THE KNOT

Adam Hood and his lovely fiancé Britnnnniiii are now man and wife. (You have to say Britnnnniiii in the Alabama accent or it doesn’t count.) They tied the knot last weekend. I would just like to add, at my wedding the “bakery” delivered the wrong cake. That is a true story. That is what happens when you order a cake from some lady’s house on the east side of Killeen for $100 bucks. But seriously, The Ballou’s would like to send our best wishes to the happy couple and to the start of a long and wonderful life together full of memories… and everything they registered for.

JB AND THE MOONSHINE BAND WANT TO MAKE YOU A STAR

JB and the Moonshine Band are shooting a new video and they are looking for couples to star in it. What are they looking for?

1) A young college-aged couple.
2) An active-duty military couple with a child aged 3-10.
3) A couple with a guy who works a blue collar job, i.e. mechanic.
4) A couple aged 60-75.

If you, or a couple you know, fits into one of these categories and would like to have your love captured for all of time in JB and the Moonshine Band’s brand-new video you can get all the details at JB and the Moonshine Band.com

ANYWHERE BUT GRIMM…

I don’t watch the NBC series GRIMM and I don’t have a clue what it is about, but maybe I’ll check it out. In a recent episode of the show you can clearly hear Cross Canadian Ragweed’s song “Anywhere But Here” playing in the bar. If you missed it, You can see the clip at RawhideandVelvet.com. And I’m lying Im not going to be checking it out.

GRANGER SMITH’S WIFE TO STAR IN ‘DALLAS’

Does anyone watch the new TNT prime time soap opera, Dallas?  If you aren’t watching it (like me) this might give you a little motivation to set that DVR! Amber Bartlett aka Granger Smith’s smoking hot wife has landed a role on the series! Yup. Word on the street is Amber will be playing Christopher Ewing’s secretary, Jill. Christopher is played by Jesse Metcalf better known as John Tucker or the hot lawn boy John, that Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives was getting her cougar on with. Season 2 of Dallas premiers January 28.
