Off the Air With Jeremy: Happy Easter
You may or may not know this, but my faith is very important to me. Today is Good Friday, and the day that Christ died for my sins and yours.

Spring has sprung all across East Texas and it's the time of the year that many East Texans get out of the house and look for something to do outdoors. Planning something outdoors this weekend though could be a bit chancy though because Mother Nature has plans to water her garden all weekend! If you don't mind dodging some hit or miss showers all weekend get out and check out these events:
Some of us, as children, were terrified of meeting the Easter bunny. Our malls, churches, and schools are full of children crying and scared of a large rabbit. Though it is mean to have a giggle at the expense of these horrified children, lets take a look any way.
Why fight the crowds this Easter Sunday? Don't go to a restaurant, cook at home. Nothing can finish off an Easter spent with family better than sitting down for a home cooked meal. Don't know what to make? Well, let us help you.
Tyler's annual Twilight Easter Egg Hunt is coming up tomorrow night (Thursday 28th) at Lindsay Park on Spur 344. The Easter bunny will be laying hundreds of eggs on the softball fields and little ones aged 3 to 10 will be able to hunt them when the twilight is just right!
This year has flown by, it's already almost Easter weekend. The infamous Easter Bunny will be making his way to East Texas and leaving eggs all around for kids to find! This is a kids favorite holiday because they get to hunt eggs and find candy, and not get in trouble for eating it all! Here are some local Easter egg events going on this Easter weekend.
Ut oh, some “bunny” is in trouble. Sorry, it was too easy NOT make that awful joke.
Easter is right around the corner and this is a big time for family gatherings. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of the family celebrating Easter. The excitement would start on Saturday night, when we would dye our Easter eggs!
Friday morning Big D and Bubba shared their recipe for 'Fried Peeps.' Only Big D and Bubba would come up with a recipe like this. I thought I would share it with you and maybe you could enjoy these 'Fried Peeps' for Easter, if you dare! Watch the video after the jump and enjoy!
The origin of Easter, a holiday associated with the observance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is actually based on an ancient pagan celebration. Christians recognize this day as commemorating the culminating event of their faith, but like so many other "Christian" holidays, Easter has become commercialized and mixed with non-christian traditions like the Easter Bunny, Easter parades and hunting for Easter eggs. But to Christians the meaning of Easter is different. Read more after the jump.
We Texans are proud of the fact that we can pretty much fry up anything....pickles, twinkies, even margaritas.
Just give us the food item and we'll batter it up.
Well, I guess we might wanna give a guy in England a certificate making him an honorary Texan after his new creation--
