Last night, while enjoying one of my favorite TV shows, "The Voice," contestant Sasha Allen sang the Dixie Chicks hit "Not Ready to Make Nice." I haven't really thought about the Dixie Chicks for a while before she sang, but it immediately reminded me of how much I enjoyed their music, and how much I missed listening to it.

Dixie Chick Emily Robison is resting today after giving birth to her fourth child, a girl, this morning. The singer delivered Violet Isabel Strayer at 3:01AM. A note at the trio’s page on Facebook says both baby and mom are doing well, and father Martin Strayer is happier than ever.

It doesn't seem all that long (8 years!) since Natalie Maines threw her's and her bandmate's career down the political toilet. If I remember right she said to a European audience something like she was ashamed to be from the same state as George W. Bush (I could be wrong, I didn't research it at all.)
