Brad Paisley Reveals New Release Date, Cover Art for ‘Love and War’
Brad Paisley has announced a new release date for his much-anticipated new album, Love and War, and revealed its cover.
The album was originally slated drop March 3, but it's now confirmed for release on April 21. In addition to its lead single, "Today," which just entered the Top 5, Love and War features a duet with Mick Jagger and some co-writing with Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty. The project also features an unexpected collaboration with hip-hop producer Timbaland.
“I wanted the collaborations on this record to be collaborations that took me outside of what you’d typically think and brought that other world into this, but it’s also very country,” Paisley says.
The Best Guitarists in Country Music
Paisley released a duet with pop star Demi Lovato, “Without a Fight," in 2016 that's expected to be included on Love and War, though no final track listing has yet been announced.
“By the time the song leads to this loud ending … it needed to be the right female voice,” Paisley tells Taste of Country Nights. “It’s hard to have character when you can sing that high. But she does.”
Love and War is Paisley’s 11th studio album, and he teamed up with Luke Wooten to co-produce the project.
Paisley also recently released a new live DVD/CD combo that captures his Life Amplified Tour stop at West Virginia University. The show aired Jan. 27, 2017 on PBS as part of its Brad Paisley — Landmarks Live in Concert: A Great Performances Special.
