It's not unusual anymore for rock stars to record a country album.

Bon Jovi were successful at it, Staind frontman Aaron Lewis has released two country solo projects, and Darius Rucker has earned himself a string of No. 1 albums since launching his country career in the late 2000s. Most recently, Steven Tyler signed with Big Machine Label Group in the spring of 2015 and has been working on solo country material.
