(Tyler, Texas) Tyler is a beautiful city to call home. I've called Tyler home for nearly 30 years now. You've gotta love the roses, the pine trees, the people, and sometimes the weather, but there's one thing that I don't love here lately, and that's how some of you park in the parking lot. While there are painted white lines to let you know how and where to park, some of y'all just flat-out ignore them. Then it's a free-for-all, and it makes it harder for others to park.

Hopefully, most of you aren't doing it on purpose, as it's inconvenient for others trying to get a spot when you're over or on the line. If you're that worried about door dings, park farther out, but please don't take up two and sometimes three spaces.

Why Parking in Tyler Can Be So Frustrating

I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering what parking lot in Tyler was the most chaotic to get in and out of and to park in. So, I posed the question on social media, and there seem to be quite a few horrible parking lots in Tyler. Some of which I've been in and agree with. Others were eye-opening, and I didn't realize it was such an issue.

The HomeGoods Parking Lot at Broadway Square

Not only is it hard to get in or out of these parking lots, but sometimes the spaces seem so small that not even a compact car could fit in there. If you haven't parked in the HomeGoods parking lot at Broadway Square Mall, then you have no idea what I'm talking about. However, if you have, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I also think it's about time for them to restripe that lot too.

Thankfully, we don't have to do a lot of parallel parking in the Rose City, but some of y'all make it nearly impossible to park normally or at an angle in any parking lot.
