The 5 Crimes That Texans See Happen Everyday
Crime unfortunately happens every day in Texas. Be it out of greed, need, or just for the heck of it.
Some crimes happen WAY more frequently than others. However, these frequently occurring crimes may not be what you hear about most. It's the big crime stories that lead headlines, not the typical crimes.
Why don't we hear as much about Texas' most common crimes
In all honesty, I think we do hear about them, but being the most common, we've learned to expect them. It's like we've become desensitized to them.
There's no doubt that if a murder happens or a tragic, mass incident, it will be pushed out everywhere. It's all people will be talking about for a while. And it should be because those crimes are horrendous and the victims deserve recognition and justice.
However, we all should still be aware of the 'common' crimes in Texas. At the drop of a hat, these typical crimes could become tragic incidents as well.
As such, we as a people should make ourselves more aware of crimes happening in our cities and neighborhoods. Even the things you think won't happen to you like a car break-in, an assault, a store stalking, and more.
The most committed crimes in Texas to watch for
Maybe it's my obsession with true crime podcasts or paranoia, but regardless, as someone who believes any situation can turn bad, I want everyone to be aware of Texas' common crimes.
Maybe if you know what they are, you can take preventative measures to keep yourself, your family, and your possessions safe. According to Gale Law Group, here are the 5 most committed crimes in Texas:
