All across Texas, there's a lot of haunted history to explore. If you're looking for a scare, or two, then the Lone Star is definitely the place you'll want to start at!

Growing up in El Paso, Texas, I've certainly heard my share of ghost stories. From the "Ghost Girl" who never graduated from El Paso High School, to the Plaza Theater in Downtown that is said to have performers who don't know that the show is over!

Well, El Paso isn't the only one that's full of a haunted history! Texas is known to have it's usual haunts, but there are some that seem a little underrated.

This list came courtesy of Danielle Simpson on Instagram who goes by the handle @theparanormalprincess_. Simpson dedicates her page to "all things spooky" and has visited several haunts across the country; so I'm pretty sure she knows what she's talking about!

Notice how a majority of them are hotels?

I was especially intrigued by the fact that The Menger Hotel in San Antonio sits on the land that the Battle of the Alamo occurred! According to rjaghosttours.com, the hotel was actually built 23 years after the battle! The hotel was a particular favorite of Theodore Roosevelt, who visited the hotel on several occasions.
