KNUE + Patterson UTI ‘Hometown Hero’ of the Week: Rocky Greenwalt of the Army National Guard

All of us at 101.5 KNUE are proud to be part of East Texas, and we are especially proud to live in a place where we hold our military and first responders in such high regard.

KNUE + Patterson UTI are proud to announce this week’s “Hometown Hero," a hero on Veteran's Day, no less -- Rocky Greenwalt of the U.S. Army National Guard.

Mr. Greenwalt, of Bullard, was nominated by his girlfriend Carly Sigler, who had this to say about Rocky:

Rocky Greenwalt returned from Fort Benning at the end of April 2014. A couple of days following his arrival, his mother passed away. This man shows a tremendous amount of courage and strength in all he does. He is fulfilling his lifelong dream by being a member of the Texas Army National Guard Infantry Divison. Pvt. Greenwalt is the most selfless person you'll ever meet. He plans to attend SFA and join the ROTC program to become an officer. Also, he plans to attend combat medic MOS school. We are extremely proud of this brave and strong young man!

To show our appreciation for Rocky's dedication and service to his country and community, he will receive a plaque courtesy of Congratulations Awards in Jacksonvillle, They specialize in awards, engraving, trophies, plaques, gifts and more. He also will also receive a gift pack from Edible Arrangements.
