101.5 KNUE knows our listeners love their ”critters," and that’s why we’ve teamed up with Pets Fur People animal sanctuary to help find homes for these lovable animals. This feature will highlight a different “critter” weekly, so don’t miss all the fun.

This is Neddie – an 8 year old female basset hound mix that is available for adoption at Pets Fur People in Tyler. Neddie is house trained and likes to take walks, in fact she walks nicely on a leash. She has very short legs so her walks are usually pretty short! T

here are so many great reasons to adopt a senior dog – your floors, shoes and furniture will thank you for adopting a senior pooch! With their teething years far behind them, seniors also are much less likely to be destructive chewers.

Older dogs have been around the block and already learned what it takes to get along with others and become part of a pack. They’ll be part of the family in no time! People who adopt dogs already in their golden years say senior dogs are devoted and grateful. It's an instant bond that cannot be topped!

Sweet Neddie has been spayed and is current on starting vaccinations including rabies. She has been microchipped for identification purposes and when adopted will receive a free gift of 30 days of free pet health insurance.

For additional information call 903 597-2471 or check the Pets Fur People website – petsfurpeople.org. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. Pets Fur People is a selective admission no kill animal sanctuary. Follow them on Facebook and Twitter. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
