When you see red in the holiday colors this month – think of hospital patients in need of something red that only another person like you can gift to them – your blood.

In the aftermath of chaos and lives lost in Dallas recently, Carter BloodCare is grateful to loyal blood donors who made sure the blood center could supply local hospitals with blood products required to treat police officers and civilians, injured during an ambush following a protest march.

It's January and that means a fresh new year and an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and give the gift of life! Once again KNUE is teaming up with Carter Bloodcare, to help raise the blood supply in East Texas.

Mix 93-1, 101.5 KNUE, Hot 107-3 Jamz and 96X have teamed with Carter BloodCare of East Texas to host the annual Call To Arms Blood Drive from Jan. 7-12 to help save the lives of East Texans and to raise the blood supply levels here in the area.  It's comforting to know that for every pint of blood that is donated, it can help save up to three lives.

The "Call to Arms" Blood Drive wraps up today and KNUE along with all of the Townsquare Media radio stations in Tyler-Longview are participating in conjunction with Carter BloodCare to raise the blood supply levels after the holiday season.
