Now what?! Organizers of the petition that wanted to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October seem to have given up. Halloween will stay on the 31st, but there is a new effort in the works to create a second day to trick-or-treat.
This time next week if the scale reads two pounds higher than normal, you're right there with the rest of humanity. That's the average weight gain during the holidays, but the truly surprising thing is how long it takes to get rid of it!
We'll probably walk past a hundred Christmas trees this season and never know the full story behind each ornament. The ones that have been hand-made by a relative can probably tell an important story if we take the time to ask.
