Every March 17 we are greeted with the traditions of wearing green, parades, corned beef and cabbage, and someone inevitably using the wrong abbreviation for St. Patrick's Day.
It was originally inspired by American Folk Music. Which yes, was one musical descendent of Celtic music--the early form of music in the British Isles.
The green beads and beers are expensive enough on St. Patrick's Day, and getting a DUI on top of that could make it the most expensive holiday ever. One group is teaming up with Uber to encourage everybody to take a sober ride home to save some lives and thousands of dollars too.
This will be a fun and festive weekend full of parties, beads, and green beer, and it can only be ruined by one thing. Dumb pickup lines! Prepare yourself for these doozies, and don't use 'em if you want to have any chance of moving into someone else's personal space.
Reckless Kelly is not a Celtic Rock Band, but it's ok with them if you think that. The understandable mix up stems from their hit "Seven Nights in Eire," and is something front man Willy Braun has come to terms with.
