For this week, I chose Easton Corbin as the KNUE artist spotlight. Easton has a great voice that seems happy and positive. Since 2009, when Easton signed with Mercury Nashville, he has accomplished quite a bit and made some awesome impressions.

Easton released his first and self-titled album in March of 2010, and enjoyed two No. 1 hits for his effort -- "Roll With It" and "A Little More Country Than That." Now Easton has released his second album, "All Over The Road," and it looks like he will repeat success again.

Easton is from Florida and lived with his grandparents on their farm after his parents divorced. It was there that Easton discovered country music. I found this funny, because Easton watched the TV show "Hee Haw" and that's what spurred him to want to learn the guitar and sing country music. I love that, 'cause I watched "Hee Haw," too!

Easton took guitar lessons at 14 and then joined a band. It just so happens that the band Easton was in won an opening place at a music festival that followed country greats Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.

Eventually, Easton found himself moving to Nashville, and the outcome so far has been great. That's why Easton Corbin is the KNUE artist spotlight of the week.
