Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie serves up some great catfish. But if you stop in by yourself for a meal, you may not eat alone. Catfish Plantation is considered the most haunted restaurant in Texas.

As co-owner and executive chef Shawn Sparks told CBS in Dallas, the Victorian house, built in 1895, is home to at least four ghosts, Elizabeth, Will, Ms. Caroline Mooney, and Lola Roller.

Elizabeth, Will and Ms. Caroline Mooney each lived in the home at one time. However, Lola Roller was murdered by a jealous veterinarian near the home in 1929.

Sparks says that there is always some sort of activity in the restaurant but becomes more prevalent when business picks up. "It’s hard to explain to them that the ghosts are acting up, and ‘I’m sorry, but it’s going to take a little longer on your food because they keep knocking the plates out of the servers’ hands’." She added, "It’s just very frustrating. They turn off the ovens while we’re trying to be on a timeline to cook something. They’ll turn it off, and we’ll go back and the oven is off and things aren’t done."

The Dallas Area Paranormal Society has investigated the restaurant and has video proof of the ghost's activity.

I see a weekend trip in my future. Maybe one will try to steal a hush puppy from my plate.

Catfish Plantation is open 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. Wednesday through Friday, Saturday 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Sunday 11 A.M. to 8 P.M.
