He was a member of Buddy Holly's band and only by chance gave up his seat on the flight that took the lives of Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens. It was 1976 when Waylon Jennings released "Wanted! The Outlaws" the first Country Music album to be certified platinum, ever. He along with Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams Jr. and Billy Joe Shaver ushered in the 1970's 'Outlaw Movement' that changed the sound and landscape of Country Music forever.

In the 1980's he joined the most prolific country group of all time, The Highway Men which consisted of him, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson. He also narrated the classic television series The Dukes of Hazzard. And without knowing it, he was a huge part of the Texas Music movement that began in the 90's that we all love so much today. He accomplished and did so much for Country Music and today on the 10 year anniversary of his death we want to know: What is the best Waylon song of all time?
