Dixie Chick Covers A Beach Boy’s Classic For HBO

It doesn't seem all that long (8 years!) since Natalie Maines threw her's and her bandmate's career down the political toilet. If I remember right she said to a European audience something like she was ashamed to be from the same state as George W. Bush (I could be wrong, I didn't research it at all.)

Even though to many of us Texans she really put her foot in her mouth we'd be dumb to forget the impact the Dixie Chicks had on country music in the late 90's through around 2003.  From There's Your Trouble to Wide Open Spaces, Travelin' Soldier, Goodbye Earl and so many... more after jump

more, click here for a complete list of their library, the Chicks made a real impact in not just country music but music.  And even if they are still 'Not Ready To Make Nice' (the title of their 2006 single) I'm definitely ready to hear more Dixie Chick music simply because it is good.
