East Texas Baby Drowns in Family Bathtub

A 9-month-old Tyler girl has died after drowning in the family bathtub.

Police were called to a home at 7415 Hollyoak in Tyler on Wednesday afternoon to respond to a drowning.

Charlotte Rodriguez, who was unresponsive, was treated at the scene by Tyler Fire and EMS personnel.

The little girl was later transported to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas where she died Wednesday night. The case is still under investigation.
