East Texas Family Killed in Fiery Crash

DPS Investigators say a fiery wrong-way accident on Interstate 20 near Dallas has killed three children and both drivers.

Mesquite police say I-20 reopened early Thursday a few hours after a truck driven by 27-year-old Krystle Carranza of Lindale was going in the wrong direction and slammed into an SUV.

Mesquite police Lt. David Gill says the woman's three daughters also died in the wreck. The youngster's names and ages were not immediately released.

Gill says the name of the man driving the SUV also has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

All five victims were dead at the scene.

A Department of Public Safety trooper spotted the pickup going the wrong way and attempted to stop the vehicle just before the accident late Wednesday.

Jury to Decide East Texas Woman’s Fate

A Smith County Jury is to begin deliberating today the punishment for a Whitehouse Woman convicted of Capital Murder.

45- year - old Kimberly Cargill was found guilty earlier this month of the June 2010 murder of Cherry Walker, the mentally challenged babysitter of her 4 year old son.

Testimony during the trial revealed that Cargill had a history of psychological problems.

Cargill faces the death by lethal injection or life in prison without parole.

Tyler Robbery Suspect in Custody

A man suspected of robbing the Conoco Gas station on Gentry Parkway in Tyler Wednesday afternoon is jailed on an aggravated robbery charge.

Police say 38- year-old Mark Antonio Lee robbed the store at gunpoint and fled in a vehicle that was later located and led officers to his arrest.

Officers made verbal contact with Lee at a residence at 1012 N. Palace after they confirmed that he was the suspect inside.  Officers set up a perimeter around the residence and were able to talk Lee out of the residence without incident.

Franklin County Accident Leaves One Dead

A one vehicle accident has claimed the life of a Scroggins, TX teen.

DPS reports Lucas Tate Burrow lost control of his car on CR 4350, struck a fence, crossed the roadway and struck a grove of trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
