Today I learned about the nonprofit organization "From Bondage To Freedom House" and I'm really impressed. Their mission provides help, recovery and training to women who are on the road to restoring their broken lives.

Women whose lives have been broken by alcoholism and/or substance abuse have a rough time finding jobs, and sometimes have no place to live. That's where "From Bondage To Freedom House" comes in to help. They will only help those women who really have the desire to have better lives.

"From Bondage To Freedom House" gives women a chance to overcome addictions, homelessness, poverty, dependent/abusive situations and help these women move into self-sufficient lifestyles.

Services they provide:

  • Drug/Alcohol Counseling
  • Bible Study
  • Basic Living Skills
  • Financial Planning
  • Budgeting and Debt Management
  • Educational Assistance and/or Job Training
  • Parenting Skills Development
  • Family Life Training
  • Job Counseling
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Intervention and Monitoring

What a wonderful organization. If you would like to support this great group, then plan to join them for their fundraiser "High Cotton Ball."

The ball will feature East Texas country star Joe Nichols in concert on Saturday, April 6 at Davis Farms in Marshall.

There will be live entertainment, a silent auction, live auction, food, open bar and tons of fun!
