Who doesn't love a friendly wager? Well Six Flags Over Texas has officially placed a bet with Six Flags New England. Whichever NBA team wins The Finals, the losing team's city has to change the name of one of their rides.

New England Skyscreamer Becomes "Dallas Skyscreamer"

Hate to break it to you Six Flags Over Texas fans, the park in New England also has a similar Skyscreamer to us. If the Mavericks defeat the Celtics, it officially will become the Dallas Skyscreamer. That's not all.

What Else Happens If Mavericks Beat the Celtics?

 

  • Six Flags New England will provide free admission for one week to anyone from Texas with a valid ID.
  • A Country Western band will follow Six Flags New England’s Park President, Pete Carmichael, for an entire day.
  • Six Flags New England will send iconic Bostonian treats to its sister park, including Boston Cream Donuts, New England Clam Chowder, and Boston Baked Beans.
  • Six Flags New England will serve Dallas Pecan Pie to the first 100 guests entering the park. Date TBD at conclusion of NBA Finals.

What Happens if the Celtics Beat the Mavericks in the Finals?

The Iconic Texas Giant roller coaster will become "The Boston Giant". One of the most iconic roller coasters at the park could be changing it's name this summer if the Celtics win, but as with the previous bet. That's not all.

  • Six Flags Over Texas will provide free admission for one week to anyone from Massachusetts with a valid ID.
  • A Traditional Celtic band will follow Six Flags Over Texas Park President, Richard Douaihy, around for an entire day.
  • Six Flags Over Texas will send Six Flags New England Texan favorites, including Chicken Fried Steak, Texas Chili, and Tex-Mex.
  • Six Flags Over Texas will serve Boston cream pies to the first 100 guests entering the park. Date TBD at conclusion of NBA finals.
