(Mix 93-1) There’s hardly a weekend in East Texas that doesn’t have something fun going on, and this one’s no exception.

Take some time this weekend to kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself, because you've worked hard all week and deserve a break.

This weekend, you can catch some action from inside the Gladewater Rodeo Area with the annual Round Up Rodeo.

If the rodeo isn't your scene, then you can tour any of 32 beautiful homes that Tyler and Smith County area builders have expertly crafted, as they are on display during this weekend's Tyler Parade of Homes.

• explore art and music from local artists at the Junebug Summer Fair

Gladewater Round Up Rodeo

It's rodeo time in Gladewater. This event has been held anually since 1937. The rodeo has since become nationally known and ranks among the top rodeos in the state as well as the top 10 percent in the nation. Bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, Mutton Bustin', roping and more events nightly. This is a ticketed event.

Tyler Parade Of Homes

The Tyler Area Builders Association presents the annual Tyler Parade of Homes. This year's parade features 32 stunning new homes that will leave you inspired to build your own new home or remodel your current place. This is a ticketed event.

East Texas Fire and Nature Festival

Join the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and our partners for a free event all about nature, prescribed fire, and how it benefits humans and wildlife alike!

This is the first annual East Texas Fire and Nature Festival!

Join us for a day of nature-based hands-on activities aimed at families, as well as short, guided walks and special speaker presentations. There will be a variety of fire engines and equipment on-site and a live demonstration of prescribed fire. The fire demonstration is weather-dependent. Both the hikes and the presentations will meet at the Nature Center building.
