Kip Moore Tops the Charts for the First Time With ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck’

Kip Moore‘s career continues to move in the right direction. The singer finds himself sitting atop the country singles chart this week with his very first career No. 1 hit, ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.’ Moore leaked the exciting news to his fans on Sunday afternoon through his Twitter page. “Truck just went number 1 and I can’t express my gratitude through a tweet to everyone who’s supported me … no words,” he wrote. “Thanks to all.”

Moore co-wrote the song along with Dan Couch, and the tune became his second single from his newly-released debut album, ‘Up All Night.’ The sexy music video helped the song become an instant fan favorite in country music, giving the young star from Tifton, Ga. his much deserved chance in the spotlight.

The success of ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck’ also landed Moore his first award nomination. Both Moore and Couch received a nod for Music Row’s Breakthrough Songwriter Award for writing their first Top 10 single.

‘Somethin” tells us that this is just the beginning of a long and successful career in country music for Kip Moore.
