KNUE + Brookside Dental ‘Hometown Hero’ of the Week: Master Gunnery Sgt. Cory Mitchell of Hawkins

It is an honor and a privilege to announce our KNUE + Brookside Dental Hometown Hero of the Week — U.S. Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. Cory Mitchell of Hawkins.

Master Gunnery Sgt. Cory Mithcell, has served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 19 years, since graduating from Hawkins High School in 1994.

Sgt. Mitchell has been stationed various times in Arizona, Virginia, Alabama, Massachusetts and North Carolina. He has also seen combat in Iraq.

Sgt. Mitchell is married to Stacy Greer Mitchell and they have three teenage daughters, Breanna, Haley and Taylor. At this time, the family is stationed in Okinawa Japan.

Sgt. Mitchell was among only 50 military members chosen to attend week senior leadership course in Washington D.C. last year.

KNUE + Brookside Dental appreciates Sgt. Mitchell for his service and dedication to his country. U.S. Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. Cory Mitchell will receive a beautiful plaque courtesy of Congratulations Awards of Jacksonville.
