Mickey Gilley and his son, Michael, were heading to Branson, Missouri when they were involved in a roll over accident in Lufkin. The accident occurred Wednesday, January 3.

A driver ran a stop sign which caused Mickey to swerve, clipping the other vehicle, and causing him to roll his 2013 Toyota SUV according to kfdm.com. Mickey suffered a broken ankle and shoulder and is back home in Pasadena, recovering. His son was not seriously injured.

Gilley owns a legendary nightclub in Branson famously known as "Gilley's", which was the main setting for the movie Urban Cowboy. Some of his most popular hits included "Room Full of Roses," "Stand By Me," "True Love Ways" and "The Power of Positive Drinkin'."
