Miranda Lambert Performs on ‘Home for the Holidays’ [Watch]
Miranda Lambert took the stage at the televised Home for the Holidays concert on Dec. 23, performing three songs.
Lambert kicks off with "Keeper of the Flame" in the clip above, performing it in a high-energy, joyous rendition that has the audience clapping along, clad in a red dress and smiling from ear to ear.
The song is one of the new tracks on Lambert's recent double album, The Weight of These Wings, which draws on all of the changes in her life over the last two years as she ended her marriage to Blake Shelton and launched a new relationship with Anderson East.
She follows it up with another new song, "Pushin' Time," an emotional ballad. East guested on the studio version of "Pushin' Time," a song that's appropriately about finding new love.
Lambert headlined the program, which brings attention to foster children in need of adoption across the United States. She also performed her Grammy-winning 2009 hit, "The House That Built Me."
Lambert understands all too well the importance of home; her own family was briefly homeless after her parents lost their house.
“Let’s remember there’s a child out there who needs you,” she said in introducing "The House That Built Me," adding, “Give them a place to build memories, a family to love them and a house to call home.”
