Get ready to be offended.

Hey, I'm actually just trolling the people who comment on Facebook without even reading the posts.  *Snicker*. At this point, I feel like we've done everything possible to inform the public on the benefits of wearing a mask. If someone just doesn't get it, if they don't see the hospitals filling up, then we're really not going to reach them. I just hope they don't infect other people.

So, anyway...here's how I make tortillas:

I generally make a half batch of tortillas at a time. This recipe will make 10 tortillas about the size of a saucer (like you put under a coffee cup).

*Take 3/4 of a cut of very hot water

*Mix in one tablespoon of shortening (vegetable oil or olive oil can be substituted)

*Add one-half teaspoon of baking soda (a lot of recipes even skip this, but I like it)

*Add around a teaspoon of salt.

*Blend mixture until it's just past the sticky stage. You can do most with a blender, then switch to your hands, but at some point, you're going to have to use your hands. You may have to add more flour, but don't rush it. More water can also be added if needed.

*Pull that big ball into 10 dough balls.

*Dust a surface with flour. Roll the tortillas out as thin as a dime.

*Put the tortillas in a pan set on medium-high. Cook until they start getting a few toasted spots.

Also, don't forget to wear your mask.
